A place
where history
continues to unfold
Built in the 19th century by Félix Leclerc de Pulligny, an artist and visionary builder, Château du Chesnay-Haguest is the work of a lifetime.
Constructed on the ruins of a former feudal estate, it was carved, designed and shaped by hand between 1858 and 1863. Its gargoyles, symbolic friezes and neo-Gothic architecture tell the story of the place as much as that of its creator.
The château has also welcomed notable figures, including Alexandre Dumas, who found here an inspiring setting. In tribute to this illustrious visitor, the estate now features the Salon Dumas, decorated in deep red tones and inspired by the world of the Musketeers.
Carefully restored, the château continues this legacy of art, culture and conviviality — a place where light, nature and heritage come together to offer a unique setting for your events.
